The Volumes screen lists your block-storage volumes. Each shows its size, location, and whether it's attached to a server (tap the server link to jump to it) or unattached.
Creating a volume
Tap Create (read/write connections only), then set:
- Name
- Size (GB) — at least 10 GB.
- Location — the region it lives in.
- On Microsoft Azure, a resource-group chooser appears first.
Tap Create to finish.
Attaching and detaching
- An unattached volume shows Attach… — pick a server from the list to attach it to.
- An attached volume shows Detach — this takes effect immediately.
Deleting
Only an unattached volume can be deleted; detach it first. Tap Delete and confirm — this cannot be undone.
If actions are missing
Create, Attach, Detach and Delete appear only on a read/write connection where the provider supports them. Use the region bar at the top to filter volumes by region.
