The Snapshots screen lists the point-in-time snapshots you've taken of servers. (Operating-system images aren't listed here — you pick those inside the create-server wizard.)
Creating a snapshot
Snapshots are created from a server's detail screen — open a server and tap Create snapshot under Manage. There's no create button on this screen. Snapshot storage is billed by your provider.
Restoring to a server
Tap Restore to server… on a snapshot and pick the server to rebuild. This erases that server and rebuilds it from the snapshot — all current data on it is lost — so you're asked to type REBUILD to confirm.
Deleting
Tap Delete on a snapshot and confirm. This cannot be undone.
Notes by provider
- Contabo is list-only for snapshots — restoring isn't available.
- DigitalOcean doesn't support deleting snapshots from here.
- Restore and Delete appear only on a read/write connection.
