Opening a server shows its status and specs, live metrics (CPU, disk and network), its networks, and — on a read/write connection — power and management controls.
Power
- Power on when it's off; otherwise Power off, Reboot, and Reset (hard).
- Power off and Reboot ask for a simple confirmation. Reset (hard) is like pulling the power cord and can cause data loss, so it asks you to type the server's name.
Manage
Under Manage (read/write connections):
- Create snapshot — a manual point-in-time copy (storage is billed).
- Enable / Disable backups — where the provider offers scheduled backups.
- Enable / Disable rescue mode — enabling shows a one-time rescue root password.
- Reset root password — reboots the server and shows the new password once.
- Delete server — permanently destroys it and all its data; you type the server's name to confirm.
Restoring a backup
Where backups exist, Restore… rebuilds the server from one. This erases the server and rebuilds it, so you're asked to type REBUILD.
Notes by provider
- Azure supports power and delete only — snapshot, backup and rescue actions don't appear.
- A read-only connection shows status and metrics but hides power and Manage. If a credential lacks permission for power, the app says so rather than showing buttons that would fail.
