Load balancers

Updated 22 July 2026

The Load balancers screen lists yours, each showing its address, type, and how many services and targets it has. Tap Manage › to open one.

Creating a load balancer

Tap Create (read/write connections), then set:

Services

A service is a listener that forwards traffic. Under Services, tap + Add and choose a protocol (tcp, http, or https) and the Listen port and Destination port (e.g. 80 → 80). Remove takes a service away.

Targets

Targets are the servers or IPs that receive traffic. Tap + Add target and pick one. Where the provider reports it, each target shows · healthy or · unhealthy. Remove detaches a target.

Deleting

Delete load balancer removes it. Vultr won't delete one while it's still provisioning — wait until it's active.

Notes

Health checks are configured in your provider's console; the app shows target health but doesn't edit the checks. Use Open in console ↗ for anything the app doesn't cover.
